Daniel Pearl World Music Day with Sinai Temple

For the first time, the Jewish Music Commission of LA is joining with Sinai Temple in presenting the 2015 Daniel Pearl Music Day for World Peace.  Participating will be the American Jewish University Choir, the Valley Beth Shalom Congregational Choir, and members of the LA Jewish Symphony, in performing Aminadav Aloni's great oratorio, Kohelet.  Soloists will be Cantor Marcus Feldman and Cantorial Intern Lisa Peicot of Sinai Temple  Concertmaster Mark Kashper will perform violin solo works reflecting Danny's love of violin and jazz..

The concert will be take place at Sinai Temple on Sunday afternoon, October 25, 2015, at 3 PM.

Join Maestra Green, concertmaster Mark Kashper, the combined choirs of Valley Beth Shalom and American Jewish University, vocal soloists Marcus Feldman and Lisa Peicott for this upcoming concert in memory of journalist Daniel Pearl.

We pay tribute to his love of music, the violin, and his vision of hope for a better world.


The selections for the concert were chosen to reflect the many aspects of the life and career of Daniel Pear’ as demonstrated by the work and lives of the composers and artists, and the love Danny had for the violin.
