The symphony, lauded for its exploration of Jewish culture, pays tribute to Jewish film composers. Led by Artistic Director Noreen Green, the performance celebrates the rich tradition of the Jewish contribution to film music history. Hear Jerry Goldsmith's music from Masada, Elmer Bernstein's Ten Commandments Suite, and selections from films with Jewish themes by Steven Schwartz (Prince of Egypt) and Charles Fox's Victory at Entebbe Suite with Israeli-born pianist Andy Feldbau. The program will include World Music artist and composer Yuval Ron, featuring his music from West Bank Story, which won the 2006 Oscar for Best Live Action Short.

On a perfect evening, the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre was filled with an enthusiastic audience which was treated to a stage-filling orchestra, led by Dr. Noreen Green, presenting a festive concert of film music performed at the highest level. Perhaps most notable were the soloists: Israeli-born pianist Andy Feldbau, soprano Ariella Vaccarino, and a stunning performance by 13-year-old soprano Hannah Drew, daughter of Dr. Noreen Green and Dr. Ian Drew, president of the LA Jewish Symphony.
