Since its inception, The Jewish Music Commission of Los Angeles has organized public concerts, seminars and workshops designed to showcase new Jewish music, expand diversity, and enhance the lives of all those interested in music as an art form. We have supported with grants those organizations and events which further our goals.

The Festival will open on Friday, July 28th with a concert, featuring the music of J. S. Bach, César Franck, Zoltán Kodályand Reinhold Glière. 
Performers: faculty members of BHIMF JEAN-DAVIS COEN, DIMITRY OLEVSKY, DANIEL HUNG AND WAN-YI PAN.
 
Sunday, July 30th - Chamber Music Evening, featuring the music of L. van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Gernot Wolfgang, Gerard Schurmann and Nino Rota.
Performers: faculty members of BHIMF JEAN-DAVIS COEN, TAMARA CHERNYAK, MIKHAIL KORZHEV, SUSAN GREENBERG, GARY GRAY, DIMITRY OLEVSKY. The guest artists JUDITH FARMER

Monday, July 31th - Chamber Music Evening, featuring music of Anton Reicha, Jacques Ibert, Heitor Villa-Lobosand Malcolm Arnold.
Performers: faculty members of BHIMF SUSAN GREENBERG, KIMAREE GILAD, HELEN GOODE-CASTRO, JON TITMUS, LESLIE LASHINSKY.
The guest artists: VERONICA BELL, Soprano. Selections of Greatest Vocal Music.
 
Tuesday, August 1st - In Celebration of Mr. Krysa's 75th Birthday and his 55th year on the Stage. Featuring music of Telemann, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky.
Performers:  distinguished Russian-American violinist OLEH KRYSA, Professor of Violin at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and faculty members of BHIMF:MIKHAIL KORZHEV, DANIEL HUNG, JASON SAH, WAN-YI PAN and STEPHEN GREEN.
Guest artists: AINYR ZABENOVA, MYROSLAVA KHOMIK.

Saturday, August 5th - the showcase of Young Musicians, participants of BHIMF.
 
Sunday, August 6th - the Final Concert, featuring music of Antonio Salieri, Antonio Vivaldi,Wolfgang A. Mozart, Alessandro Marcello, and Edward Elgar. 
Performers:Festival Chamber Orchestra. Conductor: GREGORY CHERNINSKY.
Soloists:AINYR ZABENOVA, violin; MADISON McGREGOR, Oboe; JOSEPHINE LEE, Flute and CHARLOTTE BETRY, Flute
 
All concerts at Temple Emanuel start at 8:00pm.
